.:. Toyota Malawi hands over bar to Lilongwe Golf Club  


Toyota Malawi on 25th March handed over a K10 million Hazard Bar to Lilongwe Golf Club. The construction work of the bar has taken two years. According to the company's General Manager for Lilongwe Branch, Louise du Plessis, this bar would make golfers relax and enjoy the game.

"On top of this we also donated tables and chairs which you are using now," said du Plessis. He disclosed that the project was started by his predecessor, who is currently managing the same company in Zambia. The ceremony also coincided with the prize presentation ceremony of Toyota Malawi Wednesday ball pool golf competition.

The competition, which was played in individual stable ford format, was won by John Msonthi Jr with a net score of 20 points. Ni Josh came second with a net of 19 points and was followed by SJiaun Ramaajk.with 18 points. Msonthi said he won because the course was is in good condition. Junior Golfers Association president Clement Chilingulo, applauded Toyota Malawi for the assistance it renders to the junior golfers.

Chilingulo said Toyota Malawi has beefTa"partner of junior golfers for quite some time now. Chilingulo was saying this when he introduced a junior golfers team that is going to Kenya to participate in All Africa Juniors golf tournament in Mombasa from 31 March to 1 April this year. The team comprises Paul Chidale, John Spencer, Gift Landis and Jaffali Sanudi and their coach is Christopher Kachiguma.
