Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following position;

Senior Accountant (2 positions -Blantyre)

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate shall assist in collecting information for preparation of financial and Management reports.

Required Person:

We are interested in a person who meets the following criteria below;

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Over 5 years’ experience in accounting/finance
  • CA or partly qualified preferred
  • Experience with financial reporting requirements
  • ICAM member

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, summarizing, and entering transactions.
  • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Maintains and balances business units’ accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintains general ledger and ensures all balances are accurately reconciled.
  • Supports external and internal audit by ensuring compliance with internal controls.
