It’s instantly clear that the Fortuner is well suited to any environment. Its body looks tough and durable. 18-inch alloy wheels for VXR and 17-inch alloy wheels for EXR & GXR models, lift the SUV high above the road and a chrome grille between bold headlamps add to its confident personality. Standard-fit side steps, roof rails and front fog lights are all practical details that make journeys more convenient. They’re found alongside a chrome exhaust tip, chrome door handles and body-colored door mirrors.

Resilience is also a trait of the cabin where robust moldings retain a quality look and feel for years. The fabric seats for selected models are supportive and comfortable no matter how long you spend at the wheel. Seven people can be carried inside the Fortuner which makes the model a popular choice for families. The seats fold away so you can set the preferred cabin arrangement for individual journeys.

The newly streamlined dashboard lights up with an audio and display operating system, and a high definition colour Multi-Information Display. Bluetooth comes standard across the range and the 4-litre model has an audio visual navigation system and a large 7” touchscreen DVD system.

Stable Performance

A choice of two engines is offered with the Fortuner, both reliable and hard working. The 2.7-litre four-cylinder option produces 164 HP which is channeled to all four wheels through a six-speed automatic gearbox. The unit has plenty of pulling power to help you take on demanding conditions yet if added muscle is needed a 4.0-litre V6 can be chosen instead. Coupled with Six-speed automatic transmission it uses 235 HP to accelerate energetically.​​​

Safety. Features to help you travel safely

For maximum safety and stability the Fortuner is fitted with an Anti Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) & Vehicle Stability Control (VSC).

Interior safety features include ISO-FIX seatbelts and up to seven airbags: driver, front passenger, curtain shield, driver knee airbags and side airbags. The Fortuner also comes equipped with a Smart Start system, Auto Door Lock, Smart Entry and an advanced anti-theft system.
